How this audio nomad launched a nomad village
For as long as I can remember, sound has been my compass. I believe that its vibrational power is the secret behind natureās designs, and the same force that resonates through us in music.
Hi, Iām Divi the Audio Nomad, now the founder and host of Jungli the Nomad Village.
After five years working at Uber Australia, I realised that my life wasnāt full of soundāthe kind that makes your heart beat with purpose. So, I sold everything and traded it all for a campervan named Spoons, a portable home and recording studio.
As Spoons hummed along the roads, her 1986 sounds became the unexpected heartbeat of my debut album. The click of her gears, the hum of the engine, and the slide of her door became the percussive foundation for the songs I composed. Each journey was a new soundscape. But after the pandemic, the rhythm changed, and it was time to return to my roots in India.
Equipped with a downsized studioāmy backpack MuktiāI wandered from the Himalayas to the beaches of Auroville, gathering not only sounds but stories. My album Moments of Clarity was born: a tapestry of cinematic electronica, field recordings, and travel stories woven into music.
It gained attention, and press started flowing in, but I couldnāt shake a feeling that something was missing. As a nomad, I never found a place that truly supported my creative flowāa space where productivity, creativity & deep relaxation could coexist seamlessly.
Thatās when Nomad Cloud came into the picture. Through them, I found Bitung Digital Nomad Village in Indonesia. It was there I realized: I wasnāt alone. Others were searching for the same perfect balance of creativity and productivity.
So I turned my attention to my familyās 150-acre ancestral land in South India, to transform it into what I had been looking forāJungli the Nomad Village. A place where like-minded souls come to create, live, and thrive. Where our staff takes care of the daily choresālike cooking and laundryāso residents can focus on creating their best work. Being in a village in India also means affordable rates - starting at $16 USD per day including all meals!
We launched in May, and since then, over 200 nomads have helped shape this place into something organic and alive, like a song in progress. Each resident comes with a purposeāwhether itās to write music, build a business, or reconnect with nature.
What Iāve created at Jungli is just the place I was searching for as an audio nomad. Now, with Nomad Cloud featuring our journey, Iām excited to share our story with a wider community. I hope to see some of you soon in this corner of paradise, where creativity thrives and the grass truly is greener. š“

Depending on how much one has traveled, a list of the most beautiful underrated cities in the world may look like a scrapbook of past adventures, fodder for wanderlust, or perhaps even places one has never heard of before.
These places are the definition of hidden gemsālike Ghardaia in Algeria, where clay houses circle around a sacred cave, or Deia in Mallorca, a quiet town where celebrities can actually roam unnoticed. Itās hard to believe some of these destinations arenāt on everyoneās radar yet.
If youāre the type who craves adventure without the crowds, this list will have you planning your next getaway in no time. And who knew Oregon had a Shakespearean town? I mean, who wouldnāt want to check that out?
Key Takeaways:

In Freaking Nomadsā article 10 Tips for Digital Nomad Success: Advice from a Nomad, I felt like Irene Lidia Wang was speaking directly to me. She dives into the real highs and lows of this lifestyleālike battling imposter syndrome and learning to set boundaries with your time. I couldnāt help but nod along while reading about the challenge of finding community while constantly on the move.
But what really struck me were her insights on avoiding burnout by not letting productivity become a prison. If youāve ever considered the digital nomad life, Wangās tips are an honest, helpful guide. Spoiler alert: Itās not just sipping coffee in exotic locations.
Here's what I learned: travel isn't just about changing your scenery. It's more about jolting your brain into a new way of thinking. Every new place will add a splash of color to your mental palette. So, if you're feeling stuck, maybe it's time to pack that bag again. Movement sparks creativity, and sometimes, staying still is the real enemy.
Key Takeaways:
šµ Own your worth: Keeping a āwinā journal can silence imposter syndrome by reminding you of past successes, big or small.
š„ Build community: Joining local meetups and coworking spaces helps beat the loneliness that often sneaks up on nomads.
šø Eat that frog: Tackling your hardest task first thing in the morning boosts productivity and sets a positive tone for the day.
š§³ Keep moving: Staying in one place for too long can stifle creativity. Fresh surroundings = fresh ideas.

In Traveling Lifestyleās article U.S. Passport Uploads Coming Soon To Google Wallet, I got a glimpse into how our phones are about to make travel even easierāby holding digital U.S. passports.
Google has announced itās launching a beta feature for storing U.S. passports directly in Google Wallet, starting with select TSA checkpoints domestically.
While itās not quite ready for international use, the potential for streamlining identification checks and travel tasks like car rentals is huge.
Imagine keeping your passport right next to your boarding passāone less thing to dig out at the airport!
Key Takeaways:
š² Adding a passport: Youāll need your physical passport to scan the biometric chip and take a selfie for security verification.
š Domestic use only: For now, the digital passport will only work at certain TSA checkpoints inside the U.S.
š Secure and convenient: Google recommends extra authentication (fingerprint, pin, passcode) for added security when using the digital passport.
āļø Future possibilities: The digital passport system could eventually extend to global travel and simplify tasks like identity verification.
